SitterRight does not allow search engines to index member profiles, listings, or any personal information. Your data is only accessible to logged-in members within the platform.
How We Protect Your Privacy
Profiles are not indexed by Google
We instruct all search engines (Google, Bing, etc.) not to crawl or index member profiles, sitter listings, or any user-generated content. Your profile will never appear in Google search results.
Listings are kept private
House and pet sitting listings are only visible to logged-in SitterRight members. They are blocked from search engine crawlers and cannot be found via Google.
Personal details stay within the platform
Your name, photos, location, and contact information are never shared publicly. Only authenticated members can view other members' profiles within the platform.
Technical safeguards in place
We use industry-standard robots.txt directives and meta tags to block all search engine bots from accessing member areas of the site. Only public marketing pages (like our homepage and blog) are indexable.

Frequently Asked Questions
Will my profile show up if someone Googles my name?
No. SitterRight profiles are completely blocked from search engine indexing. Even if someone searches for your exact name combined with SitterRight, your profile will not appear in the results.
What parts of SitterRight are visible to Google?
Only our public marketing pages are visible to search engines: the homepage, pricing page, blog articles, FAQ, and informational pages like How It Works. No member profiles, listings, messages, or personal data are ever exposed.
Can someone access my profile without logging in?
No. All member profiles, listings, and user-generated content require authentication to view. If someone tries to visit a profile URL without being logged in, they will be redirected to the login page.
What if I find my SitterRight profile on Google?
This should not happen with our current protections. If you ever find your profile appearing in search results, please contact us immediately at support@sitterright.com and we will investigate and resolve it right away.
How is this different from other platforms?
Some platforms allow member profiles to be indexed by Google to attract traffic. At SitterRight, we prioritize your privacy. We believe your personal information should only be visible to other verified members within the platform, not to the entire internet.
Can I control my visibility within SitterRight?
Yes! Beyond being hidden from search engines, you can also control your visibility within the platform. Go to Settings → Privacy to manage your profile visibility, location display, and search visibility among other members.
